A FOLK VICTORIAN

A Folk Victorian on the Sasanoa River in Maine reminiscent of homes built between 1870 and 1910. It has a Master Suite on the first floor with a half bath/laundry room and a gourmet kitchen with a prep island. There’s also a dining room and a story and one half living room. Two more bedrooms are on the second floor with a second floor office space overlooking the living room below. A screen porch opens to the hot tub outside and to the covered porch on the water side of the house. This home was built by Winfield Libby Construction of Bath, Maine.

"Something simple and comfortable, not too big but have room for guests – yet must look like it had been designed for the coast of Maine……….and be of exceptional quality------yet never having any experience at designing or building a new home, I knew I needed a professional residential designer. After a little research, I found Fred Hahn. He was a gift.
Fred and I met several times over a period of a year. He guided me through the planning process, incorporating my ideas with his talent for designing. The excitement grew as I saw my home coming to life – first on paper – and then under construction.
Designing from a distance never felt remote! He was always available and responsive to my questions or concerns throughout the process. Fortunately I solicited his advice beyond the home design. Fred assisted greatly with the selection of a builder, the design of the 1500’ private driveway, the sighting of the house and separate garage on the land as well as the final electrical walk-through.
I’m eternally grateful for his thought provoking questions, which allowed me to think clearly about the important decisions to make along the way. I would heartily recommend his services to anyone desiring a quality custom built home."
